A DECADE OF SUCCESS

From our first meeting about pitching the Beatles to sleeping on the floor at Spotify offices when we launched the first ever Year in Review 2013, Layerframe has been a deeply integrated part of the growth of the world's largest music platform.

Here's a glance at some of our highlights over the years.

2013-14

HIGHLIGHTS

Year in Review
Pink Floyd launch

Early years with Spotify set the stage for our partnership moving forward. We worked on a full Pink Floyd catalog launch campaign, while simultaneously planning and researching how to make a stats card both stylish and shareable. Year in Review was a milestone for us, even though it was a beautiful mess of a project.

2015-16

HIGHLIGHTS

That Song When
We Were There coachella

For a few years, there was a heavy focus on music festival integrations and the skyrocketing growth of music streaming services. We were at the nexus of both aspects, creating the We Were There - Coachella experience, in which festival goers could track their progress and enjoy an interactive lineup. We also helmed a challenging project in That Song When, a year long venture with over a dozen team members to launch a multi-social song bulletin board.

GAME OF THRONES
STRANGER THINGS 2

Beginning with Star Wars The Force Awakens, we began our reign of the playlist/character match crew. While one part of team was managing internal data apps and consulting, the other half was crafting socially buzzy matching sites for Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Bacardi and others.

2019-20

SPOTIFY CANVAS
SOUNDTRACK YOUR RIDE
C19 RELIEF

As we grew our client side data and strategy work behind the scenes, we were jamming on exciting public facing destination activations like Canvas and Soundtrack Your Ride. We were (and still are) constantly evolving our tech stack and learnings to bring unique style and interactivity to every site we built.

Since Layerframe was already a remote WFH company, when the pandemic hit, we were able to seamlessly adjust and lead several activations including the global C19 Music Relief fundraiser.

2021-22

BILLIE EILISH
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

Despite the challenges, C19 didn't slow us down and throughout the incredible tech explosion of '21, Layerframe was firing on all cylinders. A highlight for us was crafting an emotional and heartfelt activation for fans of Billie Eilish, A Letter To My Future Self.

Our team was equally psyched about our work with Riot Games on the League of Legends World Takeover partnership and pushed our creative limits to the edge.

2023-NOW

SONY EARBUDS

Over the last 2 years, as Layerframe became a leaner team, we began to focus on larger productions both internal and public facing. We spent the majority of the time dedicated to bringing a bespoke Spotify Connect destination to life and whipping up some snazzy activations like Olivia Rodrigo x Sony and the New TV Experience.
